ABOUT THE ATTORNEY

Reputable Lawyer in Pawtucket, RI

About Bob Ameen

I was born and raised in Pawtucket, RI. My dad, Edward Ameen, was a well-liked and respected Pawtucket business man for over 50 years, owning and operating an insurance agency and a tax and accounting practice. Before attending law school, I worked in my dad's business for a few years and what I learned about insurance and taxation has come in handy in my legal practice. My mom, Helen Ameen, was a homemaker whose greatest treasure in life has been her children.
I graduated from St. Raphael Academy in 1970, from URI in 1974, and from the University Of Miami School Of Law in 1979. I began working with Attorney Moses Kando in 1979, but he shortly thereafter was appointed a Worker's Compensation Court judge, and I have been a solo practitioner ever since.

I have been married since 1976 to Mary Dalton, who was also raised in Pawtucket and who has been a dedicated wife and mother. We have two children, Justin and Hannah, and I greatly enjoyed coaching them in youth sports – soccer, baseball and basketball – during their childhood. Mary's parents were Ed and Fran Dalton, both born and raised in Pawtucket and much liked in the community.

In addition to dedicating a great deal of my time and attention to my family and my legal profession, I have for many years had a strong attraction to spirituality and meditation, and it is always a pleasure for me to meet and talk with people who are also interested in the meaning of life and spirituality. My aspiration for being a spiritual person gives me a positive outlook on life and high ethical standards which I every day strive and struggle to attain, including striving for excellence in my legal profession and in developing good, long-lasting, trusted and respectful relationships with my clients.
